His personal work is concerned primarily with time and the fulcrum between experience and memory. Often exploring the intersection of stillness and movement, Christopher is fascinated by how these seemingly opposed states can coexist pictorially in a coeval relationship suggesting liminal, ephemeral, or otherwise subjective modes of being in time. He is drawn to photography for its unique ability to render the empirical and to complicate the notion of indexical representation.
